About Fran Severn
Author, Speaker, Presenter
An insatiable curiosity and a drive to share my enthusiasm and knowledge – that’s my approach to life. My articles and books reflect the fun of discovering and enjoying the quirks and foibles of life. At the same time, they respect the serious challenges and questions facing society. From the history of Peeps™, the ethics of in utero surgery, or finding the best tea in London my archives and portfolio reflect that.
I began a career as a travel writer while living in Europe and continued it when I returned stateside. My other passion is horses, and I have a large archive of equine-related books and articles.
Fran Severn's new book, Riders of a Certain Age: Your Guide for Loving Horses Midlife and Beyond, and its resonant cover, rides to our emotional rescue at just the right time, and with just the right tone of pragmatic advice, to keep us riding forward at a point in life when others might expect us to whoa.
